Dogs are social animals. What better way for them to spend the day than with other friendly pack mates? At Just Happy Dogs, located just across from Depew Park in Peekskill, NY, your furry friend is part of our completely cage and crate free doggy daycare pack.
This is a great alternative for pet parents who work, have a busy day of chores or just want to spend a day without having to take care of the “kids.” And, while we may be located in Peekskill, NY, our pet taxi can provide your furry friend with door-to-door service at reasonable rates.
We offer your furry friend a wide range of stimulating and supervised activities designed with your pet’s safety and well-being in mind. If your pet thinks of doggy daycare as a spectator sport, that’s OK, too. We have plenty of comfortable places for Fido to sit back, relax, and enjoy life. We’re a firm believer in letting dogs be dogs.
Since we want to offer your pet all the attention it deserves, we keep our doggy daycare pack small. We only accept a maximum of four temperament-tested dogs on any given day. And, only by appointment.
After a day filled with fun, your pet greets you at our door, tired and relaxed.

Our Doggy Daycare Drop-off/Pick-up Hours
- Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 6:00PM
- For availability outside of our standard hours, please contact us.
Our Doggy Daycare Services
We don’t require drop offs or pick ups at any specific time as long as it is within our hours of operation and you pick up before 9:00 PM on weekdays and 6:00 PM on weekends.
- The Full-Day Stay
- Any period greater than five hours up to 11 hours ’til close: $71.00
- The Half-Day Stay
- Any period from two to five hours ’til close: $35.50
- Extend-A-Stay
- Plans changed? Running late? Need someone to care for Fido for a short while while having lunch with friends? No problem. We can watch your pet for $8/hour. (Existing customers only.)
- Holidays (Includes all legal United States holidays, Thanksgiving week, all days between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day, any weekend where the holiday falls on a Friday or Monday.): $+10 (for any period up to 11 hours)
Our Extras
- Puppies (under one-year old but older than four months): $+10
- Add a brief walk: $17.50 per walk.
- Add a walk in the woods: $50.00 per walk.
- Oral medication administration: $5.00 per day.
- Serving Fido our food: $6.00 per day.
- Special round trip transportation rate: $42.00 within 5 miles of our home base. For greater distances, please refer to our pet transport section.

If you are planning to let us care for your pet on a regular basis, than choosing one of our Pet Package Deals is definitely the way to lock-in your space and save money. (Pet Package Deals must be pre-paid, do not have to be used on consecutive days, do not include optional services, must be used for the same pet, expire 365 days after purchase. Usually non-refundable, except in special circumstances. Prices are for the Full-day Stay.):
- 5 Pack: 5% discount
- 10 Pack: 7% discount
- 15 Pack: 10% discount
- 20 Pack: 15% discount
We’re sure that as a pet guardian, you want to make sure your four-legged family member is in good hands. And, of course, as pet guardians ourselves, we want to make sure that your pooch is a good fit for our household so all can enjoy an harmonious stay.
That’s why we require a Meet n’ Greet for all new customers so we can all agree that the fit is doggone perfect.
Meet n’ Greets take about a half hour and are held off-site so as not to disturb our pack and our dog guests.
For our new guests, Meet n’ Greets are scheduled after you make a daycare request. Once it’s out of the way, you’ll have the ability to schedule a stay if something comes up last minute. It’s a great way for all us to begin to get to know each other

What to Bring
If your dog’s feeding and/or medication schedule will fall within the time your dog will be our guest, please make sure you bring those items with you.
Although your dog will have plenty of pack mates to play with and other fun things to do during the day, feel free to bring a special toy, his or her favorite treats or any other item he or she may enjoy for their stay. Because dogs just love to play with another packmates things, we cannot be responsible for any damage to items left.
If your dog has any allergies or special needs, please make sure you bring that to our attention during the Meet n’ Greet and note it on the application.
